Hi fellow travelers
We are a party of 5 adults who will be flying out of CDG airport at 7:30 am in early July. I know that taxis usually do not hold more than 4 persons.
Should we opt for a private transfer? How early do the RER trains run from Gare de Lyon to CDG?
I am also nervous as on my last visit the RER B went on strike and we had a very difficult time getting to the airport. I do not want to repeat that experience!

There are minivan taxis, which you hotel can reserve for your the day before, probably for the same 65 euros that Rick quotes for other taxis, and that is your most reliable plan for early morning.
Les Car Air France bus departs from Gare de Lyon at 6:15 and takes about 1hr 15 to the airport, which won't work. 5:00 departure by [RER](www.ratp.fr) requires a connection at Chatelet les Halles and gets to the airport at 6:00, if no delays, which is also too close for a trans-Atlantic flight.

I will ask my hotel to call for a minivan taxi as that seems the best option.
