My husband and I are going to Paris for two days after a river cruise expressly to see the refurbished Notre Dame. It's been over 20 years since we were there. He is 92 and although he gets around well, standing for any period of time is a problem. Can we get timed tickets and/or secure a guide in advance who can insure we don't have a wait to enter this landmark? We will want to do this on Thursday, May 8.
Notre Dame is not allowing tours until later this year. Anyone who tries to sell your a tour is probably not legit.
I’m sorry to pass that information on,
This thread has a lot of information about how to reserve your tickets in advance. You can’t reserve them very far in advance, but you can reserve them in advance.
Hi cooper.caecmp!
Please keep in mind that tour guides/tour groups are allowed to give tours of the exterior, but no guided tours/tour groups are allowed inside Notre Dame before June 9th (not even the tours led by Notre Dame themselves!). Any tour guide/tour company who is offering tours inside before then is not authorized to do so. When their group is caught (they will be, I’ve seen it already), they will be asked to stop and/or leave and you will likely not get a refund.
As for reserving a time slot, I'm the author of the content that's linked in the post that Carol linked above. Please let me know if you have any additional questions, I'd be happy to help!
