We are staying in central Lyon and looking for licensed private tour guides/drivers to take us on day trips outside the city. We don’t like buses! Can anyone give referrals of good experiences with these kind of guides?

I've noticed your question has languished for a couple of days with no response. I have never used a guide in Lyon because I'm a former resident and wouldn't need one, but Virginie Moré is a guide that Rick Steves has used who I believe conducts tours of Lyon and, perhaps, the surrounding area. If she is booked or otherwise unable to assist you, perhaps she could recommend an alternative or two.

Merci Beaucoup for this suggestion. Do you recommend a day trip to Oingt from Lyon and can you recommend a restaurant there for lunch on a Saturday?

Oingt is very pretty to walk around for a few hours' visit. We had a terrific lunch at La Table du Donjon. Beautiful views from the terrasse in warmer weather.
