Hi all,
We've been to Normandy and had the day Operation Overlord tour covering the beaches and stories of the US troops as they landed on D-Day. Now we'd like to return to hear about the lesser known, more unsung heroics of our troops and Normandy residents.
Has anyone done this, and with a private tour guide? If so, could we get their name/contact information? TIA.
My husband and I cannot recommend Stuart Robertson enough. We’ve hired him for 2 days on two separate occasions. He really makes the history come alive with the histories of individual people. He is extremely knowledgeable and interesting. His site is normandybattletours.com. You can find him on trip advisor and in Ricks book.

I highly recommend taking a tour with Chris. Will customize your tour to suit your desires. We have done two different tours with him and could do more. Has a million stories.
Hey Mark...I contacted Overlord via their website, never heard back...their actual email is obscured on their website so I tried again via a website message today this is for a tour in May...so we'll see....
