We will be spending a few days in Paris in June and are looking for recommendations for private guides to maximize our experience. Does anyone have experience with guides for day tours in Paris. Would also like to visit the Champagne region, perhaps taking the train from Paris and meeting up with someone at the train station in Reims or Epernay?

I have used the same guide twice -Laurent Gauriglia. He was referred to me by a friend of mine who travels a lot and I was not disappointed. Our first experience was an all day walking tour around Paris and parts of the Louve. It was fantastic. My husband and I went back again and booked a multi day guided tour of the Loire Valley. Again, fantastic. He speaks impeccable English and was a delight. I am taking my 22 yo daughter with me in the Fall and we will be using Laurent again.
He can also guide you in Champagne and can provide driving services as well in his very comfortable car. I hope this helps.

Corey Frye gives private tours in Paris. If you go to YouTube you can see repeats of the live weekly tours he gives, viewable live on his (A French Frye in Paris) Facebook page. I've not taken a tour with him, but a friend has. She raved about it.
