In May 2024, the 4 of us will be in Nice and are considering splitting the cost of a local guide for a day. In particular, we are interested in food, wine, history, culture, and architecture (not very original, I know).
Does anyone have any experience with this and have recommendations? Thanks!
Did you check any of the recommended guides in Rick’s book? We’ve also booked private guides through Toursbylocals.com. You can read the guide's profile and price up front. If it is a private tour, you can tweak the tour to your wishes.
We did two long touring days with Ingrid and can recommend her. Shes’ very nice and a supplies tons of good info without being overwhelming.
I can’t recall how much we paid her.
Try taking a walking food tour. The guides are good at sharing the history of the area and you get to stop along the way for food, wine and chatting with guide and other travelers. Nada from Nice Food & Wine Tours was recommended in another post.
