There will be 5 of us, finishing a 3 night stay in Lyon (April 17). Originally we thought we'd to do a day trip/wine tour in the Burgundy region starting in Lyon in the morning (with luggage) spend the day with us then drop us off at a train station so that we can get into Paris that evening. After doing some more research and at the suggestion of a responder, I realize we're probably better off looking for day trip options round trip from Lyon since the trains from Lyon to Paris are fast and frequent.
Any suggestions for either a day trip going north from Lyon, in the Burgundy region or going south in the Rhone Valley?
We could do either a private tour/driver or join a small group tour. We should be able to leave our luggage at our hotel, so that's not a requirement anymore.
