In the 2026 Rick Steves tour book the price for Louvre tickets is $22.00, but on line this is a EEC visitor rate, but there is a$ 32.00 for a non-EEC visitor. I assume as a US citizen, I would be a non EEC visitor. We are only in Paris for a day, so I will only be going to the Louvre. What info is correct?
On the official website of the Louvre, you’ll find the ticket prices stated in Euros not US dollars.
Since you’re not a resident or a citizen of the European Economic Area (EEA), you’ll pay €32 per person

To further add to Dutch_traveler's helpful post, here's a previous thread (thanks Mardee!) about the price increase which went into effect this year:
As well, Rick notes it in the guidebook update section of this website for Paris guidebooks printed before August 2026. This section is to note changes occurring after a guidebook has gone to press.

As it's not unusual for changes in visiting hours, closure days, ticket prices and some other details to happen very soon after a book has gone to press, it's always best to reference the official websites of the attractions you intend to visit for the most current details. :O)
RS guidebooks are a great resource but they are not absolute. As others are noting always check with official websites to get the most current information.
