Price Fluctuations on Airlines?

We will be flying from Budapest to Paris in early December and want to go direct, which seems to
indicate AirFrance. Here in the US we notice that airline prices rise and fall all the time and wondered
if that is true at all for AirFrance. Currently price is $247 one way pp, which seems high for a 2 hour
plus flight. Any experience with watching for better prices?
Thanks! KK

That does seem high. My husband & I recently flew Air France from Venice to Paris for a total of $154 USD for both of us! I guess I'd keep checking.

Depends on the competition. Check out Transavia for this route.

What is your date? I used a dummy date of Dec 3 on skyscanner.com and it shows a direct flight from Budapest to Paris for $58 on EasyJet (flies into CDG so just as good as AirFrance). Of course there may be checked baggage charge if you have larger bags and/or other things you may need to pay for separately but worth checking into. Is there a reason you have to use AirFrance?

Every airline has dynamic fare pricing, not just the ones in the US. Fortunately, you have more than enough time to watch fares until you can get a price you're comfortable with. Are there any budget airlines that fly between the two cities (I just realized Wizz Air does not, but perhaps there are others)?

Air France and KLM often offers the exact same flight, code-shared but at a different price, on many of their routes.

So check both websites.

Yes Transavia fly to Orly, but only Monday thru Thursday. Anywhere from 50$ to $90 depending on the day.
