Suggest you check the Deutsche Bahn website to plan your train travel. You can't buy the tickets there, but I find it's the most user-friendly website for planning. You can then buy the tickets from the French rail system.

The best place to buy French rail tickets for Americans now is www.capitainetrain.com - posters here who've tried the official French rail site have reported higher prices and difficulties using US credit cards.

Fortunately the route that you're planning fits the French rail network pretty well.

You can get significantly cheaper fares for French rail travel if you book around three months in advance. Be warned, however, that the cheap advanced fare tickets are strictly limited to a single train, and if you miss it you will have to buy a new fare at (sometimes very high) full price.
