Hi. It will be our first time in Prague. Pls suggest itinerary. Its Christmas season and hoping to see a lot of Christmas happenings. We will be staying near the Old Town.

Get a RS Prague guide book. Check his list of must/should see and figure out what you want to see/do. Group into geographic/walking route zones. Set must see priorities. Do it.
Example:
Day 1: Old town, Old Town Square & Clock and surrounding sites, check out Charles Bridge
Day 2: St Vitus, Castle, Kofka Museum crossing Charles Bridge to and fro
Day 3: Jewish ghetto, museums, cemetery etc. and wonder around retuning along river.
Day 4: New Town, Mucha Museum
Day 5: Nearby towns. See RS guide.
