We will be leaving the Hotel Mercure Omaha Beach in Port-en-Bessin-Hussain, France and driving to our D-Day Tour with Gold Beach Evasion tours in Bayeux. We were instructed to meet the tour at the Place du Quebec. Has anyone been to Place du Quebec to meet a tour? Can you tell us if there is parking available? I read that there is parking at the train station which is within walking distance of the Place du Quebec. Is this true? Thanks!

Sorry, my title is incorrect. It should read Port-en-Bessin-Hussain, not Calais.

Go to the TI office. They will explain and show you that parking is FREE for 1 day behind the Cathedral there.

Tourist Information.
You can go to maps.google.com and get walking directions from the Bayeux Gare to Place de Quebec. It's walkable but not 5 minutes. The website estimates 11 minutes, which I guess might be OK if you don't get confused and take an unnecessary detour. Which happened to me more than once in Bayeux, so I urge you to allow extra time.
I cannot comment one way or the other on the parking situation since I was traveling by train/bus and spent several nights in Bayeux.
