Pont du Gard tickets

You can easily get tickets at the site.

It is free and open to visit the Pont de Gard. The lower tier can be walked across without charge or reservation. There is a charge to cross the top tier and reservations are necessary (limited access needed).

I didn't make any reservation on my October 2023 visit. I believe there was a small charge for parking, and I also paid for an English-language tour that took us up to the top and across the aqueduct via the tunnel that used to carry the water. It was a steep climb (steps) up there and the tunnel had a low ceiling -- a unique experience that I wouldn't repeat. Much easier to cross on the bridge that parallels the bottom of the aqueduct. That said, the guide was very informative from beginning to end.

Don't miss the great museum, with good graphics and clear explanations of how the whole thing was built and worked. And on the far side of the aqueduct is a nice cafe where you can eat and drink with a great view.

Greetings, The pontdugard.fr site shows grayed-out dates in November for the English tour entitled GUIDED VISIT "L'ODYSSÉE DU PONT DU GARD". It's the same for many dates in September and all dates in October. Are there no tours of the cultural attraction then or have they not been scheduled yet? Can one visit the aqueduct structure without a tour any time of year? Has anyone crossed the aqueduct in November?

We visited Pont du Gard in January a few years ago and were able to cross the aqueduct then.

No idea if things have changed but that is what we did.

It was possibly the best site I have ever seen, a total highlight of our trip to France that year.
