Planning a 12 days trip to France and Switzerland

We're planning for a 12 days tour to France and Switzerland from India (Bangalore) in June - July'18. We are a group of 6 adults and 2 babies (would be 1.4 yrs & 1 yr by then!). This would be a first visit to Europe for us. Need suggestions on all aspects - itinerary, accommodation, local transport, etc - (mid-level expenditure). We would prefer a 2/3bhk sort of accommodation with kitchen. We wish to stay 3 days in France (Paris & Versailles) and remaining in Switzerland (Mt.Titlis is a must!) or would include one more nearby country. We would not prefer a hectic whole day wandering schedule - want to have a pleasant and relaxing sight seeing schedule keeping in view the two infants with us. Kindly provide your suggestions.

The best option for you would probably be Citadines or Adagio.
There are kitchens and laundry facilities. You might qualify for a discounted rate at Adagio, since your plans are for travel in 2018.

Vacation rentals in Paris will have to have a 13-digit registration number to be legal. If you do not see it on the website, it is illegal.
It is probable that you will not find a real 2 bedroom apartment, or even 2 of them in the same residential complex.
I'd stick with Citadines or Adagio, which have sleeping accommodations to suit everybody.
Remember that you must declare each person - even the infants - on the form.

Versailles will take 6 to 8 hours, and you can't put the children in strollers, or even put them on your shoulders. All the children would see would be kneecaps. It will be insanely crowded at Versailles, and probably very hot. I doubt I would recommend it.
If you take the English-speaking tour of the King's Apartments, that would be much better for you.
You'll get to see things that others don't, and you can go back in after lunch, when most of the tourists have left for the day.

I would not take my babies to Versailles.. its hot and crowded inside and you must carry them( no strollers allowed inside) and people will be pushing against you.
If you only have three days in Paris .. skip Versailles.. I have been there 8 or 9 times over the years and I love it.. but I strongly advise you to forget it.. there is too much to do in Paris for such a short short visit.

what does "a 2/3bhk" .. mean??

And what is your actual prefered budget per night in Euros.. saying mid level is useless.. to some people that means 150 euros per night.. to others it means 300 euros per night. You must be a bit more specific.

You are going at an very very expensive time.
