Places to stop on the road

Any thoughts on places to break up the car ride between Geneva airport and Beaune, and Beaune and Colmar? Not looking for somewhere to spend the day, just an hour or two of a scenic sight or exceptional village. Thanks for your suggestions!

If you fancy cars a visit to the Bugatti museum in Mulhouse is worth to think about, it's located not so far from highway A36 / E60.
