Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants in Avignon? Happy for ideas for cheap eats or a dinner splurge. Any nice wine bar suggestions would be appreciated too!

a.g.swistowski -This a great restaurant in Avignon. It is traditional french cuisine where locals eat. It's reasonably priced and the food is excellent. I have eaten there in the past.

Ginette et Marcel on Place de Corps Saints was my favorite thing about Avignon. It’s a lovely little square, perfect outdoor seating. They serve a lot of tartines and lighter cafe fare. Great for lunch, and they are open all the time including Sundays (MANY places are closed.)

We stayed right off the Street of Dyers, Rue de Teinturiers and there were several great restaurants just along the street.
