I cannot find any firm date for the re-opening of this museum in Paris. Does anyone know more about it?
They've missed multiple deadlines for the re-opening over the past few years. But after the government fired the museum director this week after Picasso's son's complaints that France wasn't taking his father's legacy seriously, I think they'll try to make September stick!!
The President of the Museum, Anne Baldassri, has been fired since the Guardian article, and I can't remember if the architect has been removed from the project as well. I wouldn't count on a September opening at this point.
The New York Times ran the same news but you should never count on new construction opening until it actually does open.
A report today in Le Figaro gives Oct 25 as the target opening date.
The museums web site is saying October. Curses we'll be in Paris in a couple of weeks.
