Photography from dome of Sacre-Coeur Basilica

Can anybody tell me if this is allowed?

I checked the Sacre-Coeur website, which mentions no photography inside the basilica. There is no "contact us" link on that site, or I would go that direction.
I have checked online and through the France forum on this site and I cannot find any information about hobby photography restrictions/allowance after climbing the steps to the basilica dome. I am not a professional. I merely want to capture the view that rewards a person who climbs those several hundred steps to the top.

There are plenty of photos and videos from folks from outside on the Dome posted all over YouTube. So I imagine outside of it is allowed, but of course you have folks sneaking pictures from inside as well. I plan on making the climb this May for photos. My favorite was watching a Priest sneaking a video of the Sistine Chapel. He placed the camera in is lap while sitting, placed his thumb over the red light and filmed while looking around the room.

Of course you can take pictures from the dome outside. Some churches don't want pictures taken within the sanctuary out of respect.

I took many photos there this fall and everyone else up there with us was doing the same.

Thank you for you responses.
I have seen some photos from the dome, but I did not take that to mean that it was permissible. I have also seen photos the "Last Supper" and the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, both of which I KNOW have photo prohibitions.
I merely want to make sure I do not offend anybody at Sacer-Coeur or show disrespect to the basilica itself.

I think pictures are okay as long as there is no flash......they seem to be more concerned with too much noise ;)
I also remember insde the basilica that you were to keep moving so as long as it didn't take you a long time to set up a shot, you should be okay.

I asked them when I was there. It is my understanding that they are only interested in controlling photography in the area where people worship. You will enter the dome from outside the building and never pass through those areas.

As of August 2015, we encountered no issue of photography from the top of the dome itself and no church officials up there to enforce them anyway.
