Pet free hotels that are used by Rick Steves in Normandy and Paris?

My sister in law and I are thinking about planning a trip together, but she is allergic to cats. She might also have a dog allergy. She only want to be on a river cruise because the boats do not allow pets. I would prefer a hotel rather than a boat due to several reasons. We both prefer a guided tour. Is there any way before booking a Rick Steves tour to know whether the group will stay at hotels that allow pets, especially cats?

I've been on 11 RS tours and do have a cat allergy. In NONE of the rooms or hotels have I ever had a problem with animal dander BUT you might contact the office if you are thinking of taking a tour. If you have dates in mind they may be able to give you the list of hotels that are usually used and you can cross check on Booking.com or Trip Advisor.

I've just looked at a couple of the Paris hotels I've stayed in and while I've never seen pets in any of them, I checked the websites for you and all say No Pets allowed.

Hotel Beaugency (This was a hotel on the 21 Day Best of Europe tour)
Hotel Muguet (Not a tour hotel)

I've stayed at Hotel Relais Bosquet (Not a tour hotel but Rick stays here himself because a friend saw him on the staircase) but looking at their website I don't see a no pets statement like the other two.

There is/was a resident Golden Retriever at the Hotel Londres Eiffel which is where some of Rick's Best of Paris trips stay but I've never seen a dog or cat upstairs in the bedroom area.

In Bayeux I've stayed in Hotel d'Argouges and it's website indicates pets are not allowed. This was a hotel on Rick's Paris and Heart of France tour.

Thank you, Pam for that quick reply. That information is comforting.
