I'll have a 5 hr layover going from LAX to Cairo in February. We don't have do go through EES. But wondering if any one has used a non membership based lounge at CDG in the Air France area of the terminal?
You can check with Extime which operates an independent club:
Thanks but I don't need quite that level of concierge care. If I could afford them I would have surely had a credit card that would have gotten me into a delta or Air France Lounge. It was an interesting read to go to their website though. Have you used their services?
It is possible to acces an Air France lounge if you are an Air France passenger and are willing to pay but I think that costs 90€. Air France encourages you to prebook that. I don't think that you are going to find any lounges at CDG for less than around 90€. If you are looking for a quiet place to sit, look at the spots mentioned at https://www.parisaeroport.fr/en/passengers/at-the-airport/services/waiting-rooms/cdg.
I had a subscription to prioritypass.com and it gives access to I believe something like 1500 airport lounges around the world. There is a initial fee and then you pay $35 each time you enter a lounge. Depends upon how much you travel and the length of the layover of course.
Yes I'm thinking it will be the 90 eu/ person. Its good to know about the priority pass too. Thanks for all the input. I will have to wait till I know what Hall our arrival and departures are in.
Some of the small AF lounges can be crowded rather than restful. The lounges for the long haul terminals are large, but the lounges in the terminals for the shorter flights are smaller and can be crowded. You might ask to look around before paying. Sometimes it’s calmer in the terminal, if that’s what you are looking for.
Back in 2022, I paid to use the new Air France lounge at Terminal 2E. I think it had just opened, and it was €53 at that time. I'm sure it's gone up since then. It was worth it for me because I had an 8-hour layover; but it also had great food, great drinks, places to sleep, shower, private areas, etc. It was definitely worth the money back then. I just checked and I think it's around €90 now. I think you have to be a Flying Blue member, but I'm not sure about that. You might be able to pay for it with Flying Blue miles if you have enough.
Maybe worth mentioning, for whatever reason, the airline lounges (Air France in this case) are high demand, and the first people rejected are day tickets. I have a credit card that gets me access to Delta and Centurion lounges, but I have had an hour wait in a couple cases, and many times I see notices where they are not accepting day passes, or pay to access.
Worth looking at your other cards, many include some type of lounge access, I just have never needed to figure that out.
