Patisserie/Boulangerie/Chocolaterie tours in Paris?

I have been following Paris chez Sharon on instagram for years and had hoped to attend one of her food tours while next in Paris.

I knew the tours would not come cheap but unfortunately a recent enquiry revealed that the costs are well above what I am prepared to pay for a walking tour.

I nonetheless would love to do a walking tour of Paris which focuses on the best patisseries, boulangeries and chocolateries but at a reasonable budget.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I guess the first question is, what is your definition of a reasonable budget ?

@Kim less than 180 euros per person is a good starting point :P

For a walking tour I would prefer to keep it under 60 euros per person.

Back in 2015 there was an article I read on the best chocolate shops in Paris. Rather than take a tour, we visited the shops when we went to that part of the city to see other sights. We started buying one piece of chocolate each, but that quickly changed to two. It worked out well.

I’ve taken a cooking class at La Cuisine but I haven’t done one of their walks.

They offer a pastry and chocolate group walk for 75 EUR if the dates work for you

Paris Walks offers a chocolate walk which i have taken. In the past, they have offered it as a group walk at a very reasonable price. I don’t see it on the schedule for the month of Sept, but maybe they will offer it in the future.

We tried to take a chocolate walking tour with Paris Walks the last time we were in the city but they didn’t offer walks in August and possibly September because of the heat. Instead we mapped out the best chocolatiers in central Paris and sent our granddaughters on their own walking tour with some €s and a map.

Iris Amis offers the Chocolate Tour through Paris Walks once a month. She's the person who created the original tour that others copied. I did it twice, 25€ . https://www.paris-walks.com/chocolate-walk_m.html
Iris passed all the French government courses and certification exams to be a guide and is very much in demand.

Over the years I read of Americans giving expensive tours in their adopted city. Be sure to check qualifications.

We did one with Paris by Mouth a few years ago. We still talk about it! They include boulangerie, chocolate, wine, and cheese. Note they tours are grouped by neighborhood. You have to scroll down past the registration/availability by date to see the tour descriptions.

It's not a tour, but probably on some tours. If you're looking for borderline orgasmic hot chocolate, go to Angelina. They also have macarons and other goodies. Be prepared to wait in line, but it is worth it.
