Looking for a hotel in Saint-Malo. I've avoided any hotels intra muros for now, since parking is limited and difficult due to narrow streets, etc. But I was wondering if anyone has rented a car and stayed in an intra muros hotel. Did you park in the lot right outside the intra muros? Your experience would be very helpful! Thanks!
Try checking for such hotels in Booking.com and using the filter for parking included. Maybe that will give you some ideas.
We did not rent a car when we stayed here in 2019. BUT our hotel, La Maison des Armateurs offers underground parking. Great hotel.
We drove (didn't rent, as we live here) and last month stayed at the intra-muros Ibis Styles. Générally those who stay in the walls park on the outside. We arrived late Friday night and it wasn't easy finding a close parking spot but we got one, and it was not expensive overnight at all.

Thank you! I've parked on the outside and it's huge and yes, it's a bit of a walk, but doable. What did you think of Intra-muros Ibis Styles? The one problem I have with this brand is no electric kettle or coffee/tea in the room. Otherwise, they seem great.
Where in France are you located?
I stayed at Hôtel Quic en Groigne. They had a few underground parking spots, but you have to let them know ahead of time if you need one when making your reservation. It worked out great for me.
@Dreamscometrue - We were upgraded to a lovely corner room that had a Nespresso machine and a living room corner. Unfortunately we were only there for one night, but we really enjoyed the bread.
The Restaurant autour du Beurre nearby is worth a gastronomic splurge if you're into gastronomy.
I live in Paris.
We also stayed at the Hotel Quic ed Groigne. We had a car. When we got there they parked it for us and we picked it up when we left. Worked out great. Very nice place to stay. The owners were great. Great breakfast and very pleasant breakfast room. Around 5:30 each day, we had a happy hour with cheese and wine. They provided glasses and plates. I guess I should also put this under another section of the forum.
