From CDG to/from Metro La Tour Maubourg in 7th Arr

After reading your insightful comments regarding my original post on "Parking in Paris" I have used that information and rebooked to the car for p/u and drop off in the city.

But now I could use advice to get from/to CDG to Metro La Tour. I assume this would be easiest and most efficient method.

Merci beaucoup!

Where in the 7th arrondissement do you want to park? For paid parking go to http://www.parkindigo.fr/en/. At that site, you can locate parking lots and find out the rates. There is parking near Le Bon March for 36€ per 24 hours.

Which begs the question, why do you want to have a car in Paris?

If you must drive into Paris then garages are the easiest. Street parking is tricky at best, impossible at worst.
I've done a lot of driving in Paris and it can be extremely frustrating with may one-way streets, dead-ends (especially in the 7th), and extremely heavy traffic. The 7th is smack in the center of all of it. Unless you absolutely have to I wouldn't recommend it. Is it absolutely necessary or can you do without a car for a few days? You won't be able to use it in the city.

Having a car in Paris is not a good idea! You might consider either dropping it off before arriving in Paris, or park somewhere on the outskirts and travel into the city by train.

Keep in mind you won't have the same ability as the President of Zambia to get through crazy Paris traffic.....

Sorry I made a mistake and have edited out my reply.

Or rent a car outside of Paris and use Uber to get around or public transportation.

It is a starting and ending point (renting at CDG) of a trip to several areas of France, but I read a post on a different thread that suggested renting the car as well as returning the car in the 7th Arr. which is an awesome idea. So after reading many of the posts this is what I will do.

Is airport (CDG) to city centre (to/from) 7th Arr. fairly easy?

The vague nature of your plans makes it difficult to give advice. You started with a parking question, now its a multi destination trip, now you want input on 7th to CDG. Car? Bus? Taxi? You've got hundreds of experienced travelers on this board. Lay out your plans and you can get the input. Then you can decide whether or not to do what you have planned.

How many people, how much luggage, and where in the 7th? There is a flat rate taxi fare of 55 EUR. By public transport it will be at least 10 EUR per person and at least a couple of changes of mode along the way. RER to Metro. Roissy Bus to Opera then a single Metro ride will be about 13.40 EUR per person.

I'd take the RER to Denfert Rochereau, change to the No 6 Metro to Le Motte-Picquet Grenville (direction Etoile) then change to the No 8 Metro to La Tour-Maubourg (direction Creteil). 10 EUR.
Parts of the No 6 Metro are above ground, so you can get some views of Paris on the way.

I would take the RER B to San Michel and then get the C to La Tour M-- this is fast and easy and switching RER lines generally requires no stair climbing. I'd guess the whole thing would take about 45 minutes -- but give it an hour to account for getting to the train at CDG and waiting for the train at San Michel.
