Parking 5 Nights Outside 86 Ring

We will be coming from the Loire Valley, stopping in Paris en route to Brussels. Thought we would park outside the ring and Uber or metro in to the Rue Cler area and our hotel. Having issues finding something on the websites I'm accessing. Any suggestions would be so appreciated. Thanks

Just trying to figure out why you would park a rental car for 5 days instead of dropping it off before Paris and taking the train to Paris and then to Brussels.

350 to rent the car for two weeks. Two countries increased to over 700 for same car. Plus additional train fair of at least 400 for two both ways.

May I suggest that you clarify your intentions and remain open minded about travel solutions. You absolutely do not want to leave a rental car anywhere outside the 86 ring or even the périphérique for 5 nights. Do not leave any car in an unmonitored lot anywhere, unless you want it stolen or broken into.

If you are renting a car to explore the Loire Valley, either return it there and take the train to Paris or return it at ORY (Orly airport) on your want to Paris and take a taxi, the fixed taxi fare to the Left Bank is 35€.

After Paris, take the train to Brussels.

Consider using different websites (and you don´t mention those you are using). For train tickets, I use https://www.sncf-connect.com/ or you can try https://www.thetrainline.com/

Note: be sure to check car rental prices at: www.autoeurope.com. Sometimes Costco has good rental rates.

There are always add-ons to the car rentals whether through a US agency or directly. I just had a 25€ a day rental from Carrefour, insurance included, but by the time we finished all the charges, it was 200€ for five days. I would add 200€ onto the rental when comparing costs and 350€ more for fuel, tolls, parking.

Check out "Indigo Neo". A weekly parking pass at the Joffre parking lot near Champ de Mars costs €99 if booked in advance. I do not know if you need the license plate # before booking, though.

But do you really need a car in Belgium?

I know of a number of parking lots in Creteil but none that I would suggest for overnight parking for 1 night let alone 5 because all are unmonitored. If you must keep the car, I think you should go on ahead and drive into Paris and park in a monitored lot in the 15th arrondissement. Take a look at the ZenPark locations in the 15th. I suggest the one on Rue St. Charles which is video monitored. What are you going to do with the car in Brussels?
