Park Inn Nice, France Airport

We will be staying at the Park Inn near the Nice airport, and wondered if there are any restaurants near by, and also if there is any public
transportation to the railway station that services the towns along the coast. Also, Is it better or cheaper to take a bus or a train to the the various coastal towns ? Are there 3 or 5 day passes for public transportation?
Thanks.....Carol

Carol,

How many nights are you at this hotel??

The Park Inn is really a stop-over hotel, not good at all as a base, IMO. If you had a rental car, then it may not be such a terrible choice.

This hotel is surrounded by car parks, in a business/industrial setting fronting the railroad tracks. There is literally nothing else near it. The Saint Augustin rail station is a long and ugly walk from this hotel, as is the nearest bus stop.

I suggest that you do a Google 'street view' of the hotel's address. Then, please, seriously reconsider this hotel choice as a base for Nice - especially since you want to rely on public transportation to get around!

That whole area out by the airport is grim as hell. Not dangerous probably, but blah forever. I'll walk anywhere, but at least it has to be interesting.

It's going to ruin your impression of Nice.
