Has anyone used Parisforrent.com to rent a short term (3 nights) apartment? We are arriving in Paris on June 19 (yes I know this should have been done months ago, but we couldn’t determine dates for travel until my son chose where he was going to play college football) and the only reasonable rooms I’m finding after searching every Rick Steve’s recommendation, as well as booking.com etc, are some lovely apartments across the street from Rue du Rivoli very near Hotel De Ville metro stop. I’m sure they are available because of the Norte Dame closure. Any thoughts or other brilliant ideas? We need 3 nights for 4 people, and I should mention my husband and son are 6’3” and 6’4”, so larger apt is better. I really wanted Rue Cler area as I loved that area before, but finding nothing under $500!
A budget in Euros would help us give better suggestions, as would an idea of what you are looking for. Do you require a second bedroom? Will a pullout couch do? A second bathroom. Air conditioning?
As an aside, perhaps the Son whos slow decision making caused you to plan late should be the one finding the apartment.
Thanks for your reply nukesafe. I’d like to stay in the 300-350€ range. One bath is fine, pull out sofa is fine. I’m pretty happy the college football thing has worked out, so I’m not being too hard on him. And he is a great young man - friend to all, good student, good athlete, not into partying like so many high school kids are. Hard to complain too much.
