My family of 6 (4 kids 5-14) will be in Paris mid July for 2 nights (arriving Wednesday mid-day from US and leaving by train for eastern France late morning Friday). After a great deal of research, I've narrowed our choices to two hotels: Yooma Urban Lodge and Hotel Excelsior Latin. I'd appreciate any insight. A few facts:
Hotel Excelsior Latin: two triple rooms on same floor (which is OK, but we'd prefer to be together but does provide two bathrooms); about 220 euros more than Yooma (while nice to save that money, it is not the most important factor. Both are in budget)
Yooma: room for 6, including 4 bunk bed pods (which kids were excited about when seeing pictures)
Our plan is "less is more" given our short time frame and range of kids' interests and stamina. Our for-sure things are:
-Eiffel Tower
-walk Champs-Elysees and see Arc de Triomphe
-Notre Dame & both isles
-likely a hop on/off bus and Seine river cruise
We will likely skip museums (though maybe d'Orsay if all goes well) and will try to stay outside on day of arrival.
Merci in advance for any thoughts
