Paris without Covid pass QR code

For reasons never to be known, my wife and I submitted paperwork the same day, she received her code 3 days later… I didn’t receive mine even after 3 weeks (and 2 attempts). And we came to Paris anyway. I have to show my CDC vaccine card everywhere I go but never had any issues at any of the big, normal stops or restaurants. Honesty it may be more convenient than the QR code. In the end, I’m extremely happy to be in Paris. The crowds are mostly from other EU countries. It’s never super crowded. You have to be comfortable with wearing masks a lot and being around people since, in reality, social distance can not always be maintained since a Parisian cafe measures space in CM not meters. You always have to book all the museums in advance… but I’ve really never stood in a line. Also, nothing I’ve wanted to do is closed.
In Covid days, one week can’t be used to predict the next, but I’m glad I went to Paris this past week.

Thank you for posting Jay!

I, too am still waiting for a QR code after filing both ways.

Have you been to any of the smaller museums or have you concentrated on the bigger ones?

First trip to Paris so it’s been the top sites only… and nothing has disappointed… in Paris I’m 99% sure your CDC card is golden.
Heading to Lourdes and hoping the same is true there. Based on the other forum post I saw, I’m not certain it will be… so may get a rapid test so I can get the QR code for 72 hours at least.

Sounds like things are working out well. Being vaccinated is the biggest thing you can do, however it’s documented. Maybe you’ll receive the QR code the say you arrive home. 😆

Hope Lourdes and the rest go well, and that you’ve got comfortable scenarios the rest of the trip. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Thank you so much for posting this. We are scheduled to leave for Paris on September 14. But yesterday I heard from a "friend of a friend" who is currently in Paris that it is very difficult for tourists at the moment. She says that many businesses have never heard of the CDC card won't accept it. She mentioned that they don't understand the way our vaccination dates are recorded (month/day/year) and worries that, since I don't speak French, I won't be able to explain it. She says many businesses are closed, some Metro lines are down and several attractions have different hours than posted, and that Paris in general is sort of down and dirty at the moment. She recommends postponing our trip.

We've applied for our Pass Sanitaire, and they are "under construction." I do worry a little about the possibility of getting Covid and not being able to leave the country. But, overall, we really want to go!

Advice or thoughts from others currently there are recently back?
