Paris with Toddler Recommendations

We are looking to travel to France in September 2024 for one week. Our son will be just over a year old at that time. I don’t know much about the city and am quickly trying to decide if it would 1) be a good place to bring a young toddler and 2) where the best place to stay would be. I’ve had recommendations to check the 6 and 15 arrondissements. We are looking to keep the hotel around or under $250 per night.

Any other recommendations would be so helpful! I’ll continue to browse forums during nap times for other ideas!

Hi! We have visited Paris with our son, first when he was 13 months and then again when he was 2.5 years and his brother 15 months! We did Versailles, Orsay, Carnavalet, a food tour, all the parks & playgrounds, and enjoyed strolling the Seine and popping in cafes here and there. It is a different routine than then the times we visited Paris as a couple before kids -- but just as wonderful!! We stayed in Airbnb's and Paris Perfect and prefer being as close to the Seine (1st or 6th) as possible. Enjoy :)

Paris has little pocket parks with toddler toys all over, but I would try to book near a major park like the Tuilleries or Luxembourg gardens which are particularly lovely and have several playgrounds including those designed for toddlers.
