Paris with a Pacemaker

I'll be travelling to Paris for a few nights in the summer with my family (we'll be going on to Italy afterwards). I'm a relatively young guy but unexpectedly got a pacemaker a little of a year ago. This is my first trip abroad since. Has anyone with a pacemaker been to Paris recently, especially since tightened security? Are there a lot of metal detectors at the landmarks (mostly thinking Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Versailles). Any good general pacemaker travel help would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

We did the BOE 21 day tour last year and I have a pacemaker. All I did was tell them I have a pacemaker and they will let you go around the metal detectors. It was very simple and no one ever gave me a hard time. The only extra pat down was at the airport.
