Paris transportation day pass

I am looking for a pass that would work just like the Navigo Pass but for a day since we arrive on a Saturday and I need to return to the airport to pick up a relative later. Is there such option? Is the one way ticket 10 euro?

Thanks,

Jane

I was just going to post that a 5 zone Mobilis for 17.80 EUR would work, but the fine print says NOT VALID for CDG airport except if you use the 350 bus from/to Gare de l'Est, or the 351 bus from/to Nation Metro/RER station. However, the tickets are sold on the bus for 6 EUR each way, or 3 t+ tickets.

The only day pass which includes CDG is the one day Paris Visite which is about 27.xx Euro for the day. Still since it is 10.30 each way to the airport, it would probably be cost efffective if you are doing a lot of other travel that day.

as I understand it you're making three trips between the airport and the city that day:

1) from CDG into town when you arrive
2) from town back to CDG to meet your relative
3) from CDG into town with your relative.

So yes you might as well go with the one-day Paris Visite ticket that Janet mentioned. For 25.25 euros, you have those three trips covered and anything else you do that day.

(note to others: this is one of the VERY RARE cases where the Paris Visite passe makes sense!!)

Thanks everyone for helping me sort this out.

Looks like the options are

Taxi 55x2 + 10.30 (for me to return to the airport) = 120.30
or
10.3x3 + 25.5 = 56.4

I will see how every feels once we land at the airport and decide which option to take. Seems like the Navigo path is an amazing deal and I am surprised that there is no comparable option for people arriving Friday - Sunday.

Thanks,

Jane

The ND is not a tourist product and tourists are actively discouraged from it e.g. it is not offered in the English version of the web site. It was created for residents who don't want to have their movements recorded (since it is not registered) and for people working or studying in Paris for extended periods. They have no incentive to make it easier for tourists to purchase by making the week any 7 days or offering a child version.

I wouldn't say tourists are discouraged. They clearly say it is available to all without prejudice. But it is a product intended for people staying in town a little longer than the short term tourist. It would also be competing with their own Visite product, which is actively marketed to tourists and more profitable.
