We have an early flight out of Orly but our lodging will be located near CDG. What is our best option for ground transportation to get us to Orly for our 9am flight?
Thank you....

Have you asked your lodging host?
Is the flight to a Schengen or non-Schengen country?
Any chance of changing to a hotel near Orly?
If you can get back over to CDG, you can take a bus directly to Orly. It's a 45 minute ride when traffic cooperates.
Thanks all for the relies.
1) Can't change lodging.
2) Flight is to Spain.
3) I will check with my hotel for options. But I do like the idea of getting to CDG to catch the bus to Orly.
Would a taxi or Uber/Lyft be an option?
Taxi / uber (no lyft in Paris) is an option since it'll be before rush hour, but cost would be in the region of 80 euros. Else, the 'bus direct' above and the RER B train to Antony followed by Orlyval shuttle train work as well, for about 15-20 euros pp
For a 9 am flight to Spain, I would want to be at Orly at 7 am. I would ask for a taxi at 5:45 or 6 am, but as Balso says, it will be expensive.
I was also going to suggest you change your plans and stay in Paris that night, which would make it easier to get to Orly the next morning (would considerably reduce the distance) , but I see an interim response where you note that that isn’t possible.
Can you explain why you can't stay at a hotel near Orly airport?
That to me is the only logical solution.
09:00 flight = 07:00 at airport. It would be a very early start from anywhere other than Orly.
It is not impossible to get a place closer to Orly it is just not optimal for the group to split up. However, it is sounding like that is about the only real solution. I do have an email out to our hotel to see what ideas/options they may have.
Thanks again all for all the input. I appreciate it very much.
Jim
As suggested on another thread, one can get the Bus Direct that runs between CDG and Orly — but I wouldn't want to be messing with that the morning of the flight. The evening before when you’re not crunched for time would be preferable.
