Paris tour guide and free videos

I don't know if this has been recommended before, but there is a charming and very knowledgeable Parisian tour guide named Corey Frye. He gives very fun 2 hour walking tours but ALSO has an on line presence which I can recommend wholeheartedly. Most Saturdays at 4 or 5pm Parisian time he does a free live walking tour of a Parisian neighborhood broadcast through Facebook. The site is titled A French Frye in Paris. The videos are available to see later as well, either through this site or on youtube.
He is an American married to a French woman and has lived in Paris for about 8 years. Paris is his passion and he does a wonderful job of communicating that to his viewers and tour customers.
I've taken 2 of his Paris tours (Montmartre and Pere Lachaise) and I enjoyed them very much. And even though I was somewhat familiar with both those locations I learned new things and had a great time.
Do check him out on line... you won't be sorry to discover what he has to offer.

Thanks for mentioning him. I enjoy his videos and the ability to explore both familiar and new to me neighborhoods with him. It’s the next best thing to being in Paris.

I agree with that. I haven’t had the chance to tour with Corey on the ground yet, but his live, Facebook tours are great. They’ve really increased our knowledge of the city. If you miss the livestream, you can always check the replay. In fact, you can go back to his first tour and watch them one by one til you catch up.

That's right.
I recently re-watched his first one.
I'm happy to say that while his enthusiasm has remained constant, his delivery and video skills have developed and the focus has changed to much more of Paris.
It's been a work in progress and gets better all the time.
And has someone who has taken a couple of his actual tours I can attest that he's just as nice and knowledgeable in person.

I love Corey's Paris Walks online and hope to someday take an actual walk in Paris with him. He's a wealth of information about little known details of the sites he takes us too. Love A French Frye in Paris!

Thanks for posting about Corey, Sharyn.

I toured Pere Lachaise cemetery with Corey and have been following his Facebook Live walking tours since the beginning, just over a year ago. I have wandered through Pere Lachaise myself a few years ago but a guded tour made a big difference. Corey has a love for history and imparts knowledge well. During his Facebook Live tours, I take notes to help me re-enact the same walk myself in Paris.

Here is a link to his walks on You Tube.

My husband and I, Alan and Roseanna
did have a chance to go on a tour of the Latin Quarter with Corey. It was memorable because it was pouring but Corey kept us going. Everything about the tour was great. We intend to do more with Corey. I would also like to mention that Patreon members have access to the route that Corey takes us on in his life videos. These live videos are an escape to paradise.

His video tours are one man, with a video camera walking down a Paris street or park. Each week he goes to a different area of the city. You are right there with him seeing what he sees. He peeks into interesting shops, restaurants, hidden courtyards and parks. He has a great eye for composition, and a special appreciation of Parisian architecture, and points out many wonderful buildings, and architectural details that you are likely to miss. If you are into photography, architecture, history of Paris, and discovering new places to shop and dine -- check out his videos -- you will learn a lot.
