Paris to Versailles

We visiting Versailles on Wednesday. We are staying at the Hotel Lenox Montparnasse. How do we get from our hotel (via RER C) to Versailles (the last stop on the train)?

Metro Line 4 from Vavin station to St Michel, followed by RER line C to Versailles. Take a train labelled VICK on the front to Versailles. Note that you need to get a specific ticket to Versailles - probably available from the machines at Vavin but if not you will need to buy a new ticket at St Michel.

Thank you Philip. Is the connection from the Metro at St. Michel to Train C to Versailles in the same building?

Yes, when you get off your line 4 train, you'll see signs indicating the way to the RERC. Make sure you know which direction (i.e. which station is at the end of the line) you'll need.

I think you misunderstand underground railways. There are no "buildings". They are underground, meaning the stations are tunnels beneath the earth and you just follow the signage to get to the RER C, direction Versailles. Before leaving from Vavin, buy tickets going to Versailles. You will need the ticket to exit the station at Versailles.

Make sure you take the correct train, there are two stations in Versailles. If you don't catch the name VICK on the RER-C, then the station is Versailles - Rive Gauche (R.G.).

Enjoy
