We are travelling to France Sept 6, flying into CDG, we have to make our way to Valognes to pick up a tour the same day, has anyone ever rented a driver and car for transfers like this, we have made arrangements for pick up at the airport to take us to the train station, just wondering if anyone has made a direct transfer from the airport to Valognes using a private car and driver? thank you

Are they taking you to Paris Saint-Lazare train station? I'd stick with the plan to take the train. Train tickets are 50 euros per person in 2nd class if you just buy them there. (Luckily, you're not traveling on the weekend, when they've been doing some construction on that route.) A regular, non-reserved taxi from CDG to the train station cost 50 euros flat rate.

Just to clarify, Laura means 50 euros for CDG to the train station in Paris Gare St Lazare, from where the train leaves for Valognes.
