Paris to San Sebastian, Spain by train

Hi everyone,

Once again thank you for your help with information about Giverny.

Now we are looking at train travel from Paris to San Sebastian. Using loco2 to search, I find Paris Montparnasse to Hendaye, but getting from Hendaye to San Sebastian has been more difficult. I found a local train, with multiple stops but none of them indicate which stops are in San Sebastian.

HELP!! :)

Thanks in advance!!

I went to San Sebastian last July coming from Bordeaux on the the TGV train that originates in Paris.
The TGV terminates in Hendaye at the border.
From Hendaye out of the station you have to walk about 20 yards to the right and catch the Euskotren directly to San Sebastian.
All the signage are first in Basque then in Spanish i.e. Donostia/San Sebastian Amara is the stop you want/

You buy the ticket when you get there from the machine. It is ez.

Information is on the Euskotren site. They have a map and schedule. There are several stops in San Sebastian, which also goes by the Basque name of Donostia. Looks like trains from Hendaye are on 30 minute intervals.

Since the site is only in Spanish and Basque, open with Chrome and use the translate function.
You can zoom in on the top map and find the location of the stations in San Sebastian and find the one that is closest to where you want to go in the city.

Thank you!! I speak and read Spanish and Portuguese, so no problem there

We have not booked rooms yet, so we are not sure what station we will want yet

Thank you, all of you. Yes, the Amara station looked like the one we would want, from the map.
