We are driving from Paris to Rouen in early June. Planning to visit Giverny first thing in the morning. What would be a cute village not right by Giverny for lunch? And anyone know of any breweries along the way?
Well, this surprised me, but when I Googled breweries near Giverny I saw a number of them show up between Giverny and Rouen.
Les Andelys + Château Gaillard down stream and La Roche-Guyon upstream (but close) from Giverny along the Seine. Further Lyons-la-Fôret, it's a bit out of the way and touristy, but nevertheless lovely with it's half timbered houses.
Giverny is at the southside of the Vexin region, lovely area and loads of lovely villages, just drive through it on the way to Giverny and/or Rouen, or if thast's the plan back to Paris.
