My 17-year old daughter and I will be heading from Paris to Portofina June 15. What is the best way to do this? Fly? Train? If we fly, what airline/itinerary should we take? If we take the train, what train/itinerary should we take? Thanks in advance!
Fly to Genoa (GOA) then train to Santa Margherita Ligure - Portofino
Volotea flies non stop from Paris CDG to GOA.
Vueling flies non stop from Paris ORY to GOA
Thanks Roberto,
We are wanting to make this trip on June 15. Regretfully, there are no flights that we can find on June 15 to Genoa. Any ideas? Thank you so much!
As a "next best" option, easyJet flies to Pisa from Orly. Do not be tempted by the Ryanair flight: it leaves from Beauvais airport, which is a huge hassle to get to!
There is a people mover to Pisa Centrale station from the airport. From Pisa Centrale you have a few direct trains a day to S. Margherita Ligure taking 2 hours. Other trains will involve a connection in La Spezia, typically.
Milan (Malpensa or Linate) could also work but the connection from the airport to the train station(s) is not as good, so even though it is a little bit closer than Pisa, it takes more time!
Try Pisa (PSA) with AirFrance from CDG. They have availability for June 15. Not cheap this late, but still cheaper and faster than any train option. Easyjet also flies to Pisa from Orly but I haven’t checked their availability. RyanAir flies from Beauvais to Pisa. It’s probably cheaper than AirFrance as well, but you have to travel the 90km from Paris to Beauvais
