Paris to Mont-St-Michel - Train Nomad (TNO) #3451 ? washroom?

I am trying to figure out to take our family of four to Mont-St-Michel. There is a train, Train Nomad, takes the same amount of time that the TVG from Paris to Renees and then from there to Mont-St-Michel. The Train Nomad is at a much less price.

Big question:

Are there toilets on any trains? Are the seats comfortable?

Any travel tips would be appreciated.

Merci!

Train Nomad is just a local marketing name for Normandy's TER trains. I can't ever remember being on a TER that didn't have toilets. Whether they are open and working or not....

Yes, there are toilets, and even if the ones in your car do not work, you can walk along the train to find some that do. I've never had any issues.
As for the trains: there are new trains on the Paris-Granville line; I have not tried them but I have seen them: the seats aren't as plush as the TGV but still really nice.
Note that there is no catering at all, even water. Buy at the station.

Warning, though: they usually depart from the Vaugirard section of Gare Montparnasse, which is a 10 minute walk from the main concourse along the last track (track 24 I think). There is a moving walkway.
