I plan to travel from Paris by train to Mont St Michel. We will spend the night off the Mont, but within 10 miles or so. Is the best option for us to TGV to Rennes, bus from Rennes to Mont St Michel? Does this same bus line begin returns to Rennes the following morning? Are cabs or Uber available to get us to and from our hotel? Many thanks for your assistance.

Don't know about Uber but the train and the bus are the right way to get to MSM and then back to Paris. Both were pleasant rides. Enjoy this very magical spectacle!!

Thanks for your assistance. Our hotel is a small chateau in Vergoncey which is fairly close to Pontorson. I think a bus runs between Pontorson and the Mont. But the hotel is too far to walk from Pontorson.
