Has anyone taken the Paris - Milan train recently?
How did things go?
Yes, could fly but would rather take the train.

I haven't taken it recently, but my husband took it Tuesday (well, he took it to Turin, one stop before Milan).
If all things go well (and it usually has for us over the years -- we live in Paris and my husband is from Turin), it's pretty uneventful. We usually take our own sandwiches and drinks on the train but you could also buy them from the bar car I suppose.
These days you have two choices of companies on this route: France's SNCF, or Italy's Trenitalia.
If you search for tickets via the Trainline app, it will show you the options for each company. If not, look at each company's site/app individually.
