Paris to Givery- Train strike

Hi all,
In Paris at present. Need advice on getting from Paris to Giverny on 23rd. I was able to buy train ticket for a certain time even though it's a rail strike day. Will it run??
Thanks bunches!

Yes, if you booked a specific train in the past week, (or after May 11), then those that were sold were already guaranteed to run. See https://en.oui.sncf/train/strike. If that turns out not to be the case, then you can use your existing ticket on any train that does serve the route that day, whether earlier or later.

AM Also IN Paris w/tickets to Giiverny on 23rd. I am told that info will be provided on if it's a "go" or "no go" by 5pm 22nd.
Regardless, I will check at the Gare Montparnasse station EARLY what trains on line 13 are moving to Gare St Lazare.
Hope this helps.

My wife and I are in Paris and bought tickets for the May 23 train to Giverny leaving at 10:20. We received a confirmation via email yesterday.

We just got back from France. We had bought our train ticket from Paris to Giverny in advance of our trip. Bad luck--it was later scheduled for a strike day. We checked the website the day before, but also got an email informing us our train would not run. Since we had bought tickets to Giverny and booked a hotel (well in advance of train strike), we opted for a sure bet to get to the gardens at the time we wanted to--about 4 pm; this was to be there when the light would likely be at best advantage and in hopes of a waning crowd. So, we hired a G7 cab to take us directly to our hotel--about 25 euros each/ 4 people with baggage in cab. We had a comfortable ride, my brother-in-law enjoyed speaking French to the driver, and the day worked out for us. We also went to the station that day and got a refund as well as had the ticket office arrange so we could get out the next day to make a train back to Paris, as we were on a schedule that day. Though it was not a strike day, our return train had been affected by the strike (which we were advised of by email also.) It costs us to take the cab, but the peace of mind was worth while.
