Paris to Chatel without a car?

Looking to get to Chatel from Paris, appears that there isn’t a direct route but would likely need to go through Geneva. I’m having a hard time finding a way from Geneva to Chatel. Don’t want to rent a car, would prefer train if possible, but open to other creative options that you might be aware of? Thank you for any help!

This kind of question is what Google maps is very good at. If you blow it up you will find a bus stop in Chatel.
That is for service 12 run by Post Auto Schweiz (the Swiss post bus service).

The bus originates at Thonon-les-Bains, served by the odd TGV from Paris, and more frequent TER local trains from Geneva.

There are no trains to Chatel.

Apart from the public bus isn31c has noted, you would most likely be able to get
a shared or private shuttle from either Cornavin or Geneva Airport.

You could also train from Paris to Lausanne (not sure if it's any faster but it is a
different place), take the ferry boat across the lake, and then on to the bus.

This has all been very helpful, thank you! I think we have settled on a flight to Geneva and then the direct bus to Chatel…doing our best to conserve time and a few pennies!
