Paris to Chamonix by Train - Transfer in Albertville to Autocar?

I will be traveling from Paris to Chamonix on March 24, 2019 and then returning to Paris on the 27th. I see what looks like a fairly straightforward route on the OUI.sncf website that leaves from the Gare de Lyon then transfers to "Autocar" in Albertville. Has anyone made this transfer from train to bus in Albertville?

Would anyone recommend an alternative train route to Chamonix?

How long does that take, overall?

According to bahn.de ( the best website to use for train travel in Europe, whether in or out of Germany), you can make the journey all by train in 5 hours 37 minutes, with 2. Hangers. A one- change journey takes a little longer.
