Going down to Cannes from Paris in mid-May. Which is better time-wise/price-wise: flying to Nice (1.5 hr flight) & taking bus to Cannes or taking train directly to Cannes (5hrs)?

Train will faster than flying. When you take into consideration the time it takes to get to/from both airports, security and other airport hassles, the train will be quicker and more comfortable. Train goes from city center to city center.

Reserved tickets are for sale now, and the lower fares do tend to sell out, so check train ticket options at Rail Europe and/or www.Capitainetrain.com and flights at www.skyscanner.com.
