Looking for suggestions for spending 5 extra days after the Paris and heart of France trip in September.
We will be driving out of Paris sights to see, places to stay?
Any ideas would be appreciated.

I would suggest the train from Montparnasse to Chartres. It is a wonderful day trip and so relaxing to not drive, but just take the short train ride. You could stay a night or 2 in Chartres if you were looking for a more relaxing stay. I was there last September for 4 days and really enjoyed this town with a stunning cathedral. A good reason to stay at least one night would be to see the lumieres which is spectacular.
