Hello, Luckily I traveled to Paris last year. However I'm making a fast 1 day trip from London to Paris via Eurostar. Returning Friday evening from either Eiffel tower or Notre Dame Cathedral (haven't decided best flow yet) to Gare du Nord Eurostar train. Any recommendations on how much time I should allow for traffic? And also if are better to travel from Eiffel tower or Notre Dame? (Traveling with 70 yr+ Aunt who has never been to France or London or other places on our journey! Thank you in advance for advice.

It's a straight shot from Notre Dame to Gare du Nord. If traffic is heavy it will take 20-30 minutes, otherwise about 10. Just walk over to the Boulevard du Palais and flag a cab. Otherwise, if you take the metro line 4, which is a straight shot too, there are elevators at the Cité station that take you to the platforms deep underground. Allow 20 minutes for the ride from Cité to Gare du Nord including the time getting to and from the platforms. And since it's your first time, double this time to be on the safe side.
