What constitutes a valid ID in order to obtain student pricing? My 14 year old daughter and I will be in Paris in July. There are a few tours, etc that offer students reduced pricing. She will be entering high school in the fall but she does not have an ID. Can I just use her passport or does the ID have to actually say "Student" on it? Is there a place here in the states where I can/should get her an ID? Thank you for your help.
The ID thing really only kicks in once a child reaches school leaving age - at 14 proof of age is fine (if asked for at all)
All the reduced prices I have seen in Europe are based on age and not student status. In Paris Europeans are free to most museums if 25 or under; Americans 17 or under; it doesn't matter if she is a student; seriously no one cares at all.
Thank you for the responses. Sounds like no big deal!
