Paris street market near Norte Dame

I was in Paris two years ago. I believe that I was northwest of Norte Dame by a few blocks. I was walking toward Norte Dame and happened upon a street market that sold produce, souvenirs and other miscellaneous things. I believe I was walking from the Louvre to Norte Dame but am not quite positive. The thing I most remember is that it also had quite a few colorful live birds in cages for sale.

Sorry I can't remember more but my memory isn't what it once was. Can anyone help me with this market? I am going to Paris this June with my wife and it is her first trip there.

Many thanks for help.

The Sunday market on Ile de la Cité near Notre Dame is the one with the birds in addition to the flowers, souvenirs, etc. It's right by the Cité metro station.

I think you are thinking of the Marché sux fleurs et Aux Oiseaux Cité. If you type it in Yelp, you will see pictures of it and directions. It is on the island and is NE of Norte Dame. We discovered it as we walked from Sainte Chapelle to Norte Dame. I hope this is what you are thinking of.

Not just birds, but cages, bird seed, bird books, all things birds. Yes, just around the corner from the Cite Metro entrance.
