Hi there great community!
We are planning a short trip to Paris in December and I pre-booked our stay in a hotel that is located just across the Reservoir de Passy. Seeing that this is an open artificial body of water stored on multiple stores, I am thinking if staying near it is a good choice (smell? safety? else?).
Any advice?
Thanks a lot and save travels to everyone!
You're in an incredibly chic part of Paris with a lovely neighborhood feel. Where is the hotel located exactly?
I know the are, the reservoirs are absolutely unnoticeable from street level. In fact, I had to double check and was surprised to see that indeed they are not enclosed. They store clean water (not drinking water, but still), used for park fountains, street cleaning, etc.: no smell expected. And December is not mosquito season anyway.
Thank you for your quick answers! We booked Confirmed Hôtel Victor Hugo Paris Kléber (got a good deal), it's located on 19 Rue Copernic.
Good to know the water there is indeed clean and, right, it's not a mosquito season (but I recall from my own experience that there still can be mosquitos in Dec in some areas).
